A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas, the third installment in this farce series, has been scheduled for a summer shoot by its co-distributors: New Line and Warner Bros. The film will be co-written, and most likely co-directed, by Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, with Greg Shapiro and Samuel J. Brown currently signed on to produce. [Coming Soon]
I don’t know about you, but for me, this series has lost a lot of steam, and the reported possibility of a 3D release only makes this project seem more absurd in my opinion. The lack of rumored casting outside of the two stars — John Cho and Kal Penn — is also somewhat of a red flag.
Is there any reason to take this third installment seriously?
