With his Comic-Con appearance scheduled this weekend, some new media from Steven Soderbergh‘s next two films have appeared. His virus thriller Contagion has a new poster, while his spy actioner Haywire has two new photos. The latter will make up his Comic-Con presentation, but you can see the trailer for the former here.

We’ll get to Haywire first though, as we have a new look of our lead, MMA fighter Gina Carano, next to Channing Tatum. Carano plays “a black ops super soldier seeking payback after she is betrayed and set up during a mission.” The ensemble cast also includes Michael Fassbender, Ewan McGregor, Michael Douglas, Bill Paxton, Michael Angarano, Matthieu Kassovitz and Antonio Banderas, and the film will hit theaters this January. Check out the new images above and below via The Playlist.

We also have a new poster for his next film, Contagion. This multi-narrative weaving tale of outbreak stars Matt Damon, Marion Cotillard, Laurence Fishburne, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow, John Hawkes, and Kate Winslet. I’m not a big fan of this bare, unattractive poster, but it seems just a teaser for a theatrical one to come. Check it out below.

Synopsis:

“Contagion” follows the rapid progress of a lethal airborne virus that kills within days. As the fast-moving epidemic grows, the worldwide medical community races to find a cure and control the panic that spreads faster than the virus itself. At the same time, ordinary people struggle to survive in a society coming apart.

Scripted by Scott Z. Burns, Contagion hits IMAX theaters September 9th, 2011.
