We got the (mind-numbingly great) news this morning that Radiohead‘s 8th LP, The King of Limbs, will see a release this Saturday. It would only be fitting for THR to report another collaboration for the band. Guitarist Jonny Greenwood, who previously worked on There Will Be Blood and Norwegian Wood, will compose the score for Lynne Ramsay‘s We Need To Talk About Kevin.
The film, which will likely see a Cannes 2011 premiere, stars Tilda Swinton, John C. Reilly and Ezra Miller. Based on Lionel Shriver‘s novel, the drama tells the story “of a smart, educated New York mother who does her best to raise a son she never wanted. He turns out to be extremely difficult and is at the center of the woman’s marital breakdown before going on a killing spree at his high school with a crossbow. ”
