Now that Henry Cavill is confirmed for Superman: The Man of Steel, the countless reports of Lois Lane screen-testers are arriving. This morning What’s Playing threw out the rumor that Kristen Stewart, Malin Akerman, and Dianna Agron, while Jessica Biel was higher up and (thankfully) Rachel McAdams is near the top. They also gave the vague hints of Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Kristen Bell.

Latino Review has now added their hat into the rumor ring, as their source reports Olivia Wilde (Tron: Legacy, Cowboys & Aliens) has tested for the Lane role. Wilde is also signed on for KIN, but it may be pushed back if she nabs the role, shooting this summer. I would love for Wilde or McAdams to snag the role. Each had under-appreciated roles this fall, with The Next Three Days and Morning Glory, respectively. Wilde was also the most watchable part of Tron: Legacy. They could provide the sass needed, something missing with Kate Bosworth in Bryan Singer‘s Superman: Returns.

Superman is aiming for a Christmas 2012 release.

Who should get the Lane role?
