Fresh off the heels of all that Bond, director Sam Mendes looks to be switching his focus to more family-oriented, less suave fair with a live-action adaptation of James and the Giant Peach. According to Deadline, the Spectre director is in early talks to helm the project off a script penned by Nick Hornby with Disney backing. James and the Giant Peach was last seen on the big screen in animated form in 1996.

The project is helmed by Gary Ross (Hunger GamesSeabiscuit) off a script co-written by Ross and Olivia MilchGeorge Clooney and Steven Soderbergh produce. The film is slated for 2017 release. Paulson has recently been nominated for an Emmy for her role in FX’s American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson.

Lastly, Eli Roth’s remake of the 1974 B-movie classic Death Wish has added another pair of cast members, Deadline reports. Vincent D’Onofrio and Dean Norris have joined the cast that already includes Bruce Willis, filling the shoes of Charles Bronson’s iconic role. D’Onofrio will be play Willis’ brother, though it is unclear whether he will aid Willis in his murderous revenge rampage. D’Onofrio can next be seen in this September’s The Magnificent Seven remake.
