The Hollywood Reporter just broke the news that Megan Fox has been cast in Jonah Hex. She will be playing Jonah Hex’s gun wielding love interest. She is also attached to star in Fox Atomic Comic’s underwater adventure, Fathom.
In regards to Jonah Hex, is it just me or is this kind of a bad choice? A love interest for Jonah Hex? While the whole idea of comic book heros having a love interested is starting to get a bit tiresome and annoying, it’s just a bit odd to think of Megan Fox playing a love interest for a character being played by Josh Brolin. Hopefully with Hex she’ll actually be able to start showing her acting chops considering the Transformer films won’t allow her to do that.
Jonah Hex will start shooting this April for a August 6th, 2010 release date. No details of Fathom have surfaced yet.
