Remember all those good episodes of Lost? One way to discern them was to check the credits for Jack Bender’s name under director. At the helm of some, if not the best episodes of Lost (including the divisive season finale), Bender has been seasoned in the jungles of Hawaii and it seems like all the hard work has paid off. According to sources, Bender has signed a development deal with JJ Abrams’ production company Bad Robot.

Risky Business has learned that Bender has signed a television development deal with JJ Abrams’ production company Bad Robot/Warner Bros television, and “insides say” that he will now be free to work on “a potential feature” film for Paramount Pictures. Of course, no details are known at this time. Bender’s television credits also include 4 episodes of The Sopranos, 2 episodes of Carnivale, 11 epsiodes of the JJ Abrams-produced show Alias and a few epsidoes of Felicity. Source /Film

Unfortunately, I doubt it will be the much anticipated Hurley/Ben spinoff movie, but it’ll still be interesting to see what the ever captivating Abrams has up his sleeve for Bender to bang out the park.

What kind of a feature film would you want to see Jack Bender direct?
