Comedian Matt Walsh is undoubtedly best-known as one of the founders of the Upright Citizens Brigade. After the aggressively odd sketch show ended in 2000, Walsh went on to appear in a bevy of bold comedies (Old School, Bad Santa, The Hangover) and TV shows (Arrested Development, Human Giant, Reno 911!) working alongside just about any notable modern-day comedian you can think of. Now this fortified funnyman is taking his talents behind the camera, writing and directing the stoner comedy High Road – and he’s bringing his friends along for the ride.
Rob Riggle, Lizzy Caplan, Abby Elliot, Joe Lo Truglio, Rich Fulcher, Horatio Sanz, Zach Woods, Matt Jones, Ed Helms and Kyle Gass all star in the improvised tale of a pot-dealer whose world is turned upside down when he’s forced to flee when a deal goes bad.

High Road will make its debut April 29th at the Newport Beach Film Festival. There’s no news yet on when it will hit theaters.
