This year we saw The Hangover director Todd Phillips deliver what could more or less be considered a spin-off of the antics found in his hit comedy franchise with Project X. Next spring, the writers of The Hangover, Jon Lucas and Scott Moore, are clearly attempting to go after the same demographic with their directorial debut, 21 and Over.

Complete with the same one-night premise, as evidence in the first bit of this trailer, we follow Miles Teller, Justin Chon and Skylar Astin as they attempt to have a wild birthday celebration. While the crudeness is apparent, it doesn’t look to have the same bite as the aforementioned films, but there’s no doubt the audience it’s aiming for will eat it up. Check out the trailer below for the film also starring Sarah Wright, Francois Chau, Jonathan Keltz, Daniel Booko and Dustin Ybarra.

Synopsis:

Straight-A college student Jeff Chang has always done what’s expected of him. But when his two best friends Casey and Miller surprise him with a visit for his 21st birthday, he decides to do the unexpected for a change, even though his critical medical school interview is early the next morning. What was supposed to be one beer becomes one night of chaos, over indulgence and utter debauchery in this outrageous comedy.

21 and Over arrives on March 1st, 2013.
