A new film from Martin Scorsese means it is one of our most-anticipated of the year. Cue our excitement when it was uncovered that one of the world’s biggest stars has snuck in a small role in the film, Hugo Cabret. Le Parisien published an image from the children’s fantasy/adventure that features Johnny Depp as abstract painter M. Rouleau.
The figure will assist our leads Asa Butterfield and Chloë Moretz in the “the story of the eponymous orphan boy living a secret life in the walls of a Paris train station.” Based on Brian Selznick’s book, the boy also finds a broken mechanical man and The Playlist has a picture of what that will look like below.
Ben Kingsley, Christopher Lee, Emily Mortimer, Sacha Baron Cohen, Jude Law, Michael Stuhlbarg, Emily Mortimer, Ray Winstone, Frances de la Tour and Richard Griffiths also star.
Hugo Cabret was shot in 3D and will be released on November 23rd, 2011.
