/Film has directed us to the first official still (pictured above) of Joe Wright‘s upcoming action-adventure film Hanna, starring Saoirse Ronan as a 14-year-old killing machine who begins to enjoy the more conventional life of a French family who looks to take her in. Her ex-CIA father will be played by Eric Bana, with other supporting members including Niels Arestrup (A Prophet) and Cate Blanchett (Robin Hood).
Filming began in the middle of March and is scheduled to continue throughout Germany and parts of the UK. The film seems to be sticking with its previously-announced 2011 release date.
The film is being directed by Joe Wright (Pride & Prejudice, Atonement), and the script has been co-written by David Farr, Seth Lochhead, and Joe Penhall (The Road).
Do you think the Oscar-nominated Ronan can pull of this role?
