After successfully raising $3,105,473 from 46,520 backers on Kickstarter, Zach Braff went ahead and shot his Garden State follow-up Wish I Was Here earlier this year, and it looks like his wish will be coming true. As desired by the writer-director from the outset, it’ll be premiering at Sundance Film Festival 2014 and today brings the first stills.

The project follows Braff as Aidan Bloom, a “35-year-old struggling actor, father, and husband, is still trying to find purpose in his life. In coming to terms with the death of his father, Aidan and his family unite to discover how to turn the page onto the next chapter.” In the still above one can see Braff alongside Joey King, while below is our lead alongside Kate Hudson. Also starring Mandy Patinkin, Josh Gad and Ashley Greene, check back in a few weeks for our review of the film from the festival.

What do you think of our first peek at Braff’s latest?
