After releasing his documentary And Everything Is Going Fine earlier this year, Soderbergh has two more films in store for 2011. April will bring the debut of his action/thriller Haywire (formerly known as Knockout). The impressive cast includes Michael Fassbender, Channing Tatum, Ewan McGregor, Michael Douglas, Michael Angarano, Antonio Banderas, Bill Paxton, and Gina Carano.

Even more impressive is the cast for his horror outbreak film Contagion. The film, which debuts in October, features Matt Damon, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Winslet, Marion Cotillard, Jennifer Ehle, John Hawkes, Laurence Fishburne, and Bryan Cranston.

Our source on the set of the film in San Francisco snapped a few pictures, mostly featuring Soderbergh and his biohazardist suit-wearing army. We did get a few details, as our source said it was “the last day of shooting the film” and “the concept is going to be like Crash, where it follows alternate story lines that all come together in the end.” Contagion will feature characters in multiple cities, and Jude Law’s storyline takes place in San Francisco where he was shooting for the past two weeks (see previous photos here). Synopsis: An action-thriller centered on the threat posed by a deadly disease and an international team of doctors contracted by the CDC to deal with the outbreak.

Contagion hits theaters October 21st, 2011.
