Indie director David Gordon Green broke through the mainstream market with Pineapple Express two years ago. He directed a few episodes of Eastbound & Down as well as the upcoming medieval comedy Your Highness, which comes out in October. It seems like he won’t go back to such small gems as Snow Angels, Undertow, All the Real Girls, and George Washington. THR reports on his new project at Fox, The Sitter. The film, originally to be directed by Jonathan Levine (All The Boys Love Mandy Lane, The Wackness) stars Jonah Hill.

The irreverent comedy will harken to 1987’s “Adventures in Babysitting.” It follows a college student, suspended for the semester and living at home with his single mom, who has a night to remember when he gets talked into baby-sitting the eccentric kids next door: two boys and a wild 8-year-old girl.

The project started at the new defunct Fox Atomic, with a script by Brian Gatewood and Alessandro Tanaka.

The Sitter will start filming in the fall. Your Highness hits theaters Oct. 1st. Jonah Hill stars in Get Him To The Greek and Cyrus, both coming out this summer.
