Arriving sooner than originally planned, David Ayer‘s World War II actioner Fury was recently bumped up from November to and October 17th bow. Skipping the fall festival slate (outside of a London Film Festival bow, after it already hits theaters in the U.S.), Sony Pictures aren’t relying on early word for this one, but it could simply be just an entertaining thriller not exactly tuned for festival audiences.
A new trailer has now landed, showing off just that with a wealth of new, action-filled footage. Starring Brad Pitt, Logan Lerman, Shia LaBeouf, Jon Bernthal and Michael Peña, we track them as a group of Allies whose home is a Sherman tank. As we can see in the new trailer, they encounter a massive army and must hold their ground. Arriving in a little over a month, check out the new trailer below.
April, 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theatre, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, and with a rookie soldier thrust into their platoon, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.
Fury arrives on October 17th.
