Last month we reported on the Weinstein Company’s quest to overturn what they consider unjust ratings by the MPAA for The King’s Speech and Blue Valentine. While the former has just released a new poster gearing up for its wider release come Christmas, the latter is fighting to get their NC-17 rating overturned so the daring divorce drama can be seen by a wide audience.
In the latest step in their appeals pursuit, The Weinstein Company has put their pleas online in the form of a petition that takes moments to fill out. For the few who’ve seen the film, this may seem like an easy choice, as we know the rumors of the supposedly shocking sex scenes are highly overstated. But for those of you who are interested in the film in a theater near you – signing this petition will help make that possible.

Blue Valentine will have a limited release on December 31, 2010, and expand nationwide in January of 2011.
