Hulu has debuted the first red band trailer for the violent Roman epic, Centurion. It is the latest film by Neil Marshall (Dog Soldiers, The Descent, Doomsday) and stars Michael Fassbender, Dominic West, and Olga Kurylenko. Check it out below and read TFS writer Paul Chamber‘s review here.
Plot: Britain, A.D. 117. Quintus Dias, the sole survivor of a Pictish raid on a Roman frontier fort, marches north with General Virilus’ legendary Ninth Legion, under orders to wipe the Picts from the face of the Earth and destroy their leader, Gorlacon.
I’m one of the few that really disliked The Descent and this looks to be in the same mindset. I’ll give it a try since I love Fassbender and West but I hope the story can live up to the violence.
Magnolia will release the film in theaters August 27th but you can check it out on a slew of on demand services starting July 23rd.
