After getting our first clip from Terrence Malick‘s upcoming romantic drama To the Wonder last week, a fitting debut domestic poster has arrived. While that one-minute sneak peek featured stars Ben Affleck and Olga Kurylenko headed to France’s The Mont Saint-Michel, also referred to as the “Wonder of the West,” this first U.S. one-sheet has used the same imagery. Complete with some blocky, stamped-on text I wouldn’t have imagined a Malick film using, it doesn’t seem far removed from a novel cover (and even has a shout-out to the Criterion Collection version of The Thin Red Line).

Check it out below (via Entertainment Weekly) for the film also starring Javier Bardem and Rachel McAdams, and read our review from Toronto International Film Festival, where we said the film “unfolds itself as a series of images trying hard to forget the pain. As inferences are made concerning infidelity and the ultimate betrayal of adultery threatens to destroy all shred of what once was and what was hoped to be, we’re reminded of happier times devoid of the suffering wrought by weakness, insecurity, and paranoid delusions speaking more about the accuser’s mindset than the accused” and that “Malick tells his romance through the silent flicker of cascading memories long passed.”

To the Wonder opens on April 12th.
