Unfortunately it’s not the Marilyn Monroe biopic I’m looking forward to. That goes to Andrew Dominik‘s follow-up to The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Blonde with Naomi Watts. We won’t see that for a awhile, but we have a new look at another one; My Week With Marilyn, directed by Simon Curtis, known for the TV series Return to Crawford. The Daily Mail got the picture, as well as an interview with Williams. Check it out below.

The film will focus “on the relationship that developed between Colin Clark, a handsome Old Etonian and Oxford graduate who worked as a general dogsbody on set, and Monroe.” Eddie Redmayne will play Clark, and joining him and Williams are Kenneth Branagh, Emma Watson, Judi Dench, Julia Ormond, Dougray Scott, Derek Jacobi, and Dominic Cooper. You can head over to The Daily Mail to read the interview, including some comments regarding Williams’ “knockout performance.”

Michelle Williams can be seen in the buzzed about Blue Valentine with Ryan Gosling, which hits theaters at the end of the year. My Week With Marilyn will likely debut in the fall festival circuit.

Which Monroe film are you more excited for? What do you think about Williams portraying the famous figure?
