If you saw American Sniper and thought, “Hm, this might be better if Bradley Cooper was replaced with a dog,” then your movie of the summer has arrived. Max, set to arrive in June, follows the true tale of a military dog who suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder after returning from Afghanistan.
Directed by Boaz Yakin (Remember the Titans, Safe), the first trailer has landed today and we’re not quite sure what to make of it, but at the very least, it seems like the family-friendly alternative to this month’s White God. Starring Hellion lead Josh Wiggins, Thomas Haden Church, Miles Mussenden, Robbie Amell, Lauren Graham, Luke Kleintank, Jay Hernandez, Joseph Julian Soria, and Dejon LaQuake, check out the trailer and poster below.
Max opens on June 26th.
