After people waited hours in the hot San Diego sun to see footage from Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Warner Bros. have released the preview in full HD for those of us sitting on our couches on a Saturday afternoon. The teaser pits our two superheroes against each other in an expectedly drab setting, and although it’s certainly better than what was shown last time — look, a sense of scale! — after the abominable Man of Steel, expectations are firmly set to a low point.
And in taking on a dull, dreary tone without bringing much visually new to the table, we’re hoping Snyder has a story worth telling here. (Jesse Eisenberg‘s Luthor looks fun, at least, and Holly Hunter as an angry bureaucrat is a nice sight.) Featuring Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jeremy Irons, Callan Mulvey, Tao Okamoto, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane, check it out below:
