While anyone with the most basic knowledge of technology knows the influence Steve Jobs had on the world, a forthcoming feature aims to take a deeper look into his life. With a prime fall release set for October, Danny Boyle‘s Michael Fassbender-led Steve Jobs is set backstage at three iconic product launches and ending in 1998 with the unveiling of the iMac.

Based on Walter Isaacson’s book, much of our curiosity for the film has to do with a script by Aaron Sorkin, who seems like a strong fit for Boyle’s kinetic style. Following up a brief initial teaser, Universal Pictures has now released the full-length version for the film featuring Kate Winslet as Joanna Hoffman, former marketing chief of Macintosh, Steve Wozniak, who co-founded Apple, played by Seth Rogen, and Jeff Daniels as former Apple CEO John Sculley.

The new preview shows what looks to be a fantastic performance from Fassbender with a complex look at the darker side of Jobs. Also starring Katherine Waterston as Chrisann Brennan, Jobs’ ex-girlfriend, and Michael Stuhlbarg as Andy Hertzfeld, one of the original members of the Apple Macintosh development team, check out the trailer below.

Steve Jobs opens on October 9th, 2015.
