Remember how I said the trailers for Rupert Wyatt‘s Rise of the Planet of the Apes are getting better and better? That trend continues with the latest, full-length UK trailer for the film. We’ve previously seen a teaser and theatrical trailer, and a shorter UK trailer, but now we truly have the best one yet. This one is comprised of mostly all new footage and if you were on the fence, I highly encourage you to check it out. The animation continues to look incredible, but there seems to be a compelling story as well.

James Franco stars alongside John Lithgow, Freida Pinto, Brian Cox, Tom Felton, and Andy Serkis in Fox’s blockbuster. Check out the trailer below from The Sun (via First Showing), who also debuted the poster above.

Synopsis:

A single act of both compassion and arrogance leads to a war unlike any other — and to the RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES. The Oscar-winning visual effects team that brought to life the worlds of Avatar and Lord of the Rings is breaking new ground, creating a CGI ape that delivers a dramatic performance of unprecedented emotion and intelligence, and epic battles on which rest the upended destinies of man and primate.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes hits theaters August 5th, 2011 and a week later in the UK.

Does this look like one of the more promising blockbusters to you?
