Another year, another Disneynature film. Things kicked off on Earth Day 2009 in the US with the condensed version of Planet Earth, simply titled Earth. Then we had Oceans, and this year, African Cats hits theaters. In 2012, we have Chimpanzee. Alastair Fothergill (director of Earth and African Cats) teams with Mark Linfield (who also directed Earth) for a more focused tale at the relationship of a Chimp and a orphan. Check out the trailer below via Yahoo.
A nature documentary shot over three years and centered on a family of chimps living in the Ivory Coast and Ugandan rain forests. Chimpanzee will help us better understand this exceptionally intelligent species.
Chimpanzee hits theaters April 20th, 2012 while African Cats comes out this Friday.
