alien-prequel

Collider recently caught up with Tony Scott at The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 junket where he confirmed that an Alien prequel is in motion. He also confirmed that commercial director Carl Rinsch will be directing. It was previously speculated that Ridley Scott was going to go back to do a prequel, but that is no longer the case.

I am disappointed that Ridley Scott isn’t coming back, but having seen some of Carl Rinsch’s commercials I can say he has an eye for visuals. Though a good Alien film must not be style over substance. The series cant really get any worse after Alien Resurrection or the AVP abominations so its not like there is anything to lose by doing this. As long as the writers realize what made the first two films so great and they don’t try to rehash old tricks then maybe this could turn out good.

Do we need an Alien prequel?
