While the first trailer for Justice League showed a bit of expected humor after some general complaints about the dour tone of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, it won’t be the funniest film featuring The Dark Knight next year. That honor will surely go to The LEGO Batman Movie, a spin-off surrounding Will Arnett‘s angsty, hilarious Batman character.
While at Comic-Con, an entertaining new trailer premiered, introducing more of the humor, as well as Robin, voiced by none other than Michael Cera, and it’s now available online. Featuring Alfred (Ralph Fiennes), Dick Grayson/Robin (Michael Cera), Barbara Gordon/Batgirl (Rosario Dawson), The Joker (Zach Galifianakis) Gotham’s mayor (Mariah Carey), and more, check out the new trailer below.
In the irreverent spirit of fun that made “The LEGO® Movie” a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – LEGO Batman – stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.
The LEGO Batman Movie opens on February 10th, 2017.
