A staple at Sundance, Parkey Posey premiered her latest indie dramedy Price Check at the festival earlier this year and now it’s set for a release this fall. Directed by Michael Walker, the film follows the actress as a crazy boss who gets entangled in the life of one of her employees, played by Eric Mabius. There wasn’t much buzz coming out of Park City for this one and judging from a fairly lackluster trailer, one can see why. While I enjoyed Posey’s recent Louie stint, her character comes off as overtly grating here and the comedy doesn’t quite land. Check out the trailer and poster below for the film also starring Cheyenne Jackson, Josh Pais and Jayce Bartok.

Synopsis:

Pete Cozy (Eric Mabius) does his best juggling family life, rising debt and a dead end job, but when his new boss, Susan (Parker Posey), a sexy, powerful, human dynamo shows up, Pete is pulled into the maelstrom that is her life and made to work harder than he ever has before. Suddenly, money and opportunities come his way, but at what price?

Price Check hits VOD on October 11th and is in theaters on November 16th.
