Fitting the late 1960’s/early 1970’s era of Inherent Vice (our review), Jonny Greenwood‘s third collaboration with Paul Thomas Anderson is an expectedly more relaxed score, while still ramping the paranoid-infused reverberations as Joaquin Phoenix‘s Doc Sportello gets further down the rabbit hole. While we’ll have to wait some time until the excellent score is released, today we have the full soundtrack for your listening pleasure.
The soundtrack features songs from Neil Young, Can (“Vitamin C” is perfectly used when PTA introduces the title), an unreleased Radiohead tune (we’ve got the live version), themes from Adam-12 and Gilligan’s Island, surfer jams from The Marketts and Bob Irwin, a great closing track from Chuck Jackson, and much more. Ahead of a likely official release, check out the tracklist below, followed by YouTube tracks of everything but a new Greenwood song, and all we could gather on Spotify.
