Where has Tom Holland been all these years?
The man who gave us 80s horror classics Fright Night and Child’s Play relegated himself to a slew of cheap, 90s Stephen King adaptations, including The Langoliers and Thinner.
Now we have news that Drag Me To Hell star Justin Long is set to lead Holland’s The Ten O’Clock People, Holland’s adaptation of the Stephen King story of the same name [The Playlist]. The original tale concerns a Boston man trying to quit smoking who discovers many people in power are literally monsters.
This, in short, does not sound promising. It reads like one of King’s sillier, cheaper bits more in line with the James Woods-led camp-fest Cat’s Eye than any other adaptation from the author.
Add to that Holland’s resume and Long’s general lack of good decision-making and you have a questionable effort from the start.
How much do you need a Justin Long horror flick directed by Tom Holland?
