After jumping back into the Hollywood circuit, Arnold Schwarzenegger has wasted his time with The Expendables franchise and a January bust from Kim Ji-woon, but a new project may see him reteam with the director that helped to provide some of his most iconic performances. As James Cameron preps a back-to-back-to-back shoot on three separate Avatar sequels — with the first due out in late 2016 — word has come in that The Terminator may be back.

According to Latino Review, Cameron is seeking someone to take up the villain mantle after Stephen Lang in the first film and he’s looking to Schwarzenegger to fill those shoes. Described as a “bad guy human general,” the actor would certainly fit the role. He even told MTV earlier this year that while Cameron is “tied up” with his next movies, “hopefully, there’s something down the line when he’s finished with that.” He added, “I always look forward to working with him because Cameron is a very talented director.” We’d certainly be down for a reunion, so let’s hope this one comes true and we’ll likely find out next year if that’s the case.
