This will be the first Pixar film to be released in 3D, and in most cases this will be done via Sony’s SXRD projectors, hence the cross promotion.
Here is the plot for Up: Carl Fredricksen spent his entire life dreaming of exploring the globe and experiencing life to its fullest. But at age 78, life seems to have passed him by, until a twist of fate (and a persistent 8-year-old Wilderness Explorer named Russell) gives him a new lease on life. Pixar’s Up hits theaters on May 29th 2009.
After seeing My Bloody Valentine 3-D last week I believe 3-D has some true potential; matched with Pixar’s genius creativity, Up looks like it will be a winner.
