Bloody Disgusting recently caught up with Resident Evil star Milla Jovovich as she was promoting her new film A Perfect Getaway. Among other things she spilled some info about the newest chapter in the series. First she said that the clones from Resident Evil: Extinction would be featured in the new film. “Let’s just say this. The clones are definitely in it. You’ve got multiple Alice’s kicking serious butt. And definitely the real Alice has some pretty major things happen to her that change the stakes a little bit. That’s probably all I can give you in a vague sort of way. It’s definitely going to be a different Alice than who we’re used to…There’s the clones and it’s going to be a lot of work. I’m gonna be working every day for the next four months on this and it’s gonna be bigger than ever. It’s super-exciting.” It was also discovered that W. S. Anderson will be returning to direct this installment. He has only been serving as writer and producer since the second film and only directed the first. The other big new is that this installment might be in 3D and Anderson is currently researching the technology with the people who are working on James Cameron’s Avatar.

I don’t wanna say I am a fan of the series, but I do like watching them. They are really funny for the wrong reasons but at the same time work so well. Also, I am really excited that Anderson is returning to direct since the first one actually wasn’t that bad.

Are you looking forward to a new Resident Evil?
