Are you ready for some new images from three completely different projects? First up, we’ll get to two titles we’re actively anticipating. Above, one can see a new still from Woody Allen‘s July-bound Blue Jasmine, which reveals our first look at Peter Sarsgaard alongside Cate Blanchett. They are joined by Alec Baldwin, Sally Hawkins, Bobby Cannavale, Andrew Dice Clay, Louis C.K. and Michael Stuhlbarg in the drama that’s described as “the story of the final stages of an acute crisis and a life of a fashionable New York housewife.”
Next on the list is Gareth Evans’ follow-up to his relentless actioner The Raid. Titled The Raid 2: Berandal, the film will pick up just a few hours after the first film and after a batch of behind-the-scenes stills, we’ve got a bloody new image from the director himself. See the mutilation below for the film that may sneak into theaters (at least on a festival run) by the end of the year.
Lastly, we’ve our first look at a film that just popped on our radar today. Marking the directorial debut of David Grovic, the action thriller Motel features John Cusack as a hitman who gets hired by a mob boss (Robert De Niro) for a mission. But the twist begins when Cusack’s character turns on the man who hired him and chaos ensues. Judging by these first stills it looks like yet another low-rent offering from Cusack and not exactly a great follow-up for De Niro following his Oscar nom, but we’ll save full judgement when the film comes out sometime this year. Check out the stills below (via FilmoFilia) for the film also starring Dominic Purcell, Sticky Fingaz, Rebecca Da Costa, David Shumbris, Crispin Glover and Martin Klebba.
