It’s being reported by The Playlist that Dennis Quaid (G.I. Joe, Legion) had to drop out of Steven Soderbergh‘s Knockout due to scheduling problems. Dennis Quaid is off to to film Soul Surfer in Hawaii next week which is about Bethany Hamilton.
Bill Paxton (Big Love and Aliens) is currently in talks to play the role that Dennis Quaid has left vacant in the film. This therefore means, assuming Paxton gets the job, that Paxton will be playing the father of Gina Carano‘s character “a black ops specialist who goes on the run once she’s been double crossed and framed by her own teammates.”
Even though I’m not the biggest Bill Paxton fan in the world I don’t exactly hate the guy as an actor, and with Soderbergh directing the movie Stallone could star and I’d still be looking forward to it.
