Chloe Moretz will continue to ensure her star is on the rise by signing up for in The Rut, currently being developed by Karyn Kusama, according to the LA Times.
Moretz, who has already helped create one iconic character in Kick-Ass’ Hit Girl and may help create another in Let Me In – the US remake of 2008’s already classic, Swedish, vampire film Let the Right One In – will reportedly star as a girl whose father goes missing, requiring her to use the hunting and archery skills he had taught her in order to track him down.
Karyn Kusama will be hoping the project can stop her own star from waning, after early promise with 2000’s Girlfight petered out after her last two releases, Aeon Flux and Jennifer’s Body, were poorly received. Personally, I enjoyed the latter and felt that if there were faults to be found, they were with Diablo Cody‘s script rather than the direction, which had enough in it to interest me in her future works.
