Nikke Finke has a quick update that James Cameron‘s Avatar is officially the #2 worldwide grosser of all-time. 20th Century Fox sources say it has grossed more than Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King, which ended at $1,119,110,941 but still less than James Cameron‘s Titanic, which holds the number one record at $1,842,879,955. This means Avatar just needs a little over $720M to become the highest grossing film of all time, something quite feasible.
