Presumably, an actor’s goldmine is finding a director who will utilize the best of their abilities to explore new territory. So when it comes to Lynn Shelton, much of Hollywood is intrigued at her next project. The Humpday director gave us one of last year’s finest independent films with Your Sister’s Sister, before returning to Sundance this year for Touchy Feely, and now we’ve got news on casting for her next project.

According to Deadline, Anne Hathaway, Chloe Moretz, Sam Rockwell and Mark Webber have all joined the ensemble for Laggies, a project the director has been working on for nearly two years. The dark comedy will follow Hathaway in the lead as a “perpetual adolescent and late-twentysomething” named Megan gets proposed to by her boyfriend (Webber). Freaked out, she “pretends to go on a career retreat but actually hides out for a week with 16-year Annika (Moretz), her new best friend.” Rockwell figures in as Craig, but there’s no details yet on his role.

With a script from newcomer Andrea Seigel, this is certainly a promising ensemble. It’s nice to see Hathaway, after winning an Oscar for Les Miserables, transition to something with a smaller scope, while Rockwell has recently proved his knack for dark comedy in Seven Psychopaths. As for Touchy Feely, one can read our Sundance review here, and we can expect Laggies to arrive next year.

What do you think of the ensemble for Shelton’s latest?
