The first trailer has arrived for the SXSW comedy My Blind Brother, which unites Adam Scott as a blind brother to Nick Kroll, who has recently fallen for Jenny Slate, who may or may not be interested in one or either of the two. Scott is a blind athlete who is renowned for his courageous ability to fight through his disability with running, swimming, and… driving.
Kroll is overshadowed by his brother — who thanks God instead of him after a marathon he also ran — and after a one-night hookup with a girl, he may finally have something his brother doesn’t have. Then things get a bit messy. The film is written and directed by Sophie Goodhart, who is adapted from a short she did in 2003. See the trailer and a poster below for the film which also stars Zoe Kazan.
Love for the same woman causes conflict between an over-achieving blind athlete and the brother who made him that way.
My Blind Brother will have a limited theatrical release on September 23rd.
