In what looks to be the best version ever created of Matrix: Revolutions and Ninja Assassin, we have a new trailer for Wong Kar-Wai’s long in-the-works and long-awaited The Grandmasters. Starring Tony Leung and Zhang Ziyi, the film tells the story of Ip Man, who is best known as the trainer of legendary kung-fu star Bruce Lee.

We got word earlier this year that the film will finally be completed soon, after getting picked up by film saviour Megan Ellison. This new trailers just details an action scene with choreography by Yeun Woo-ping, most likely known for his work on Crouching Tiger, The Matrix films and Kill Bill, and it looks gorgeous. Take a look below via The Playlist.

We are hoping for the rumors of a fall film festival circuit debut and a release this year to come true. Stay tuned for updates and check out a poster we snapped at Cannes below.
