AICN is reporting that Forrest Whitaker has dropped out of Sylvester Stallone’s The Expendables due to a scheduling conflicts. Not only that, but apparently he is going to be replaced by 50 Cent (Home of The Brave). 50 Cent will now playing the role of Agent Will Sands, a CIA liaison. The star studded cast already includes Sylvester Stallone, Mickey Rourke, Jet Li, Jason Statham, Eric Roberts, Dolph Lundgren, and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.
To me, this is quite bad news. I am not quite sure how this role went from a high caliber Oscar winner to 50 Cent. To be honest I think 50 Cent is quite the bad actor, especially in Home of The Brave. I still believe that this will make for a kick-ass action movie especially with this cast, but I am still kind of hazy on why 50 Cent was the one who replaced Forrest Whitaker.
