When your last major role was in one of the worst-grossing films of all-time, the Miley Cyrus vehicle LOL, one wouldn’t fault an actor for simply hanging up his or her hat then and there. But for Douglas Booth, he soldiered on and has since been cast in two of our most-anticipated projects of 2014.

After completing a role in Darren Aronofsky‘s Noah, the actor, according to Variety, has landed a part in the Wachowskis‘ next film, Jupiter Ascending. Marking their follow-up to Cloud Atlas, the reportedly $200 million project recently grabbed Sean Bean for role of Stinger, a character described in the vein of Han Solo and older than our lead, played by Channing Tatum.

Booth’s role is unknown, but he will join Eddie Redmayne and Mila Kunis in the story that follows our characters as humans who, in this future, aren’t as evolved as powerful beings across the universe and Kunis plays a woman who is an assassination target by the queen of said universe. One can check out more details on the ambitious project here, as production kicks off soon in the UK for a 2014 release.

Are you looking forward to Booth’s upcoming major roles?
