After Bridesmaids and The Heat, one can likely guess who’ll lead Paul Feig‘s latest film. Yes, Melissa McCarthy is back, this time for a spy comedy Susan Cooper, and the director is now filling out the rest of his cast. With Rose Byrne and Jason Statham on board, The Wrap reports that Jude Law will take a part in the film, which follows McCarthy as a James Bond-esque agent. No details on his role yet, but we’ll find out when it hits theaters on May 22nd, 2015.

Next up, director Nima Nourizadeh found financial success with the found-footage party feature Project X and he’s now set to shoot his film next month. Scripted by Max Landis, the writer behind Chronicle, American Ultra follows Jesse Eisenberg as a pothead who lives a simple life in a small town with his girlfriend Phoebe (Stewart). Everything changes, however, when something from his past comes back to haunt him and the government wants to take him down. THR now reports that Uma Thurman has taken the role of a government worker who has to protect Eisenberg when her higher-ups want him dead. Lionsgate recently picked up the film for a likely 2015 release.

Dueling films are no rare exception in Hollywood and the latest battle to come forth is Disney and Warner Bros. as they take on a new version of The Jungle Book. With the former studio recently eying Ron Howard to take the lead, Disney has Jon Favreau in its pocket and now we have the first cast addition. Deadline reports that Idris Elba will voice and (likely) do motion capture for the character of killer tiger Shere Khan. With VFX coming from Rob Legato (Avatar, Hugo), it’ll be primarily a live-action film, with the exception of Elba’s character, and it’ll land on October 9th, 2015.

With it being nearly eight years since her Oscar-nominated drama Frozen River, director Courtney Hunt is lining up her next feature. The Whole Truth, scripted by Nicholas Kazan (Enough) is set to star Daniel Craig, and now we have another addition. THR reports that Renee Zellweger, who hasn’t been seen on screen in four years, has joined the courtroom thriller in an unknown role, playing opposite Craig’s character who is a district attorney.

Lastly, X-Men and Warm Bodies star Nicholas Hoult has taken a leading role in the U.K. dark comedy Kill Your Friends, according to ScreenDaily. Beginning production shortly, Hoult takes the role of Stelfox, who is looking to find the next major Britpop star, going to extreme lengths to do so. Coming from Black Mirror director Owen Harris the adaptation of John Niven‘s novel also stars Jim Piddock (Best in Show) as the managing director of Stelfox’s record label company.

Which of the above projects are you most looking forward to?
