While she’s said to be featured heavily in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, there’s another Scarlett Johansson film also coming out April 4th that has attained our curiosity to a much greater extent. Jonathan Glazer‘s long-awaited Under the Skin will finally be making its debut next month and while the trailers have been quite cryptic today brings a new clip which gives us a better sense of the style.
In it, we can see our lead as an alien who is sent to seduce and abduct human males, and performing what she does best, interacting with one in his car before luring him into a dark alley. Perhaps even more impressive is a new batch of posters designed by none other than Neil Kellerhouse (except for the first selection); they highlight a few stills we’ve already seen, but also feature more wild imagery. Check out the clip and batch of posters below (via Total Film and Twitter).
From visionary director Jonathan Glazer (SEXY BEAST, BIRTH) comes a stunning career transformation, a masterpiece of existential science fiction that journeys to the heart of what it means to be human, extraterrestrial — or something in between. A voluptuous woman of unknown origin (Scarlett Johansson) combs the highways in search of isolated or forsaken men, luring this succession of lost souls into an otherworldly lair. They are seduced, stripped of their humanity, and never heard from again. Based on the novel by Michel Faber (The Crimson Petal and the White), UNDER THE SKIN examines human experience from the perspective of an unforgettable heroine who grows too comfortable in her borrowed skin, until she is abducted into humanity with devastating results.
Under the Skin opens on April 4th in NY and LA before expanding on the following week.
