Todd Phillip‘s (Old School) comedy hasn’t hit theaters yet, but Variety reports Warner Brothers has ordered a sequel to The Hangover. They want Phillips and writer Scot Armstrong (Old School, Semi-Pro) to get started on a sequel already. It’s no surprise, the newest trailer for The Hangover premiered at ShoWest, and it got the biggest laughs and best response from the crowd. Initial screenings have also been overwhelmingly positive. The hope to go into production later this year. The Hangover hits theaters June 5th, 2009.
This news sounds good to me. The trailer was hilarious, I urge everyone to check it out. Warners Bros must have a lot of faith in the film to order a sequel almost two months before release of the original. Count me excited.
