According to Production Weekly, who earlier tweeted that the new Wachowskis‘ film title CN9, has begun casting.
Little is known about the new Wachowskis‘ project (formerly the Wachowski Brothers) other than it’s a gay Iraq war picture about a homosexual American solider who falls in love with an Iraqi. It has also been described as a ” cinema verite-style treatment that begins in the near future and then spans back over years that include the current war in Iraq.” Early pitch footage has been reported to include the likes of Arianna Huffington and Jesse Ventura.
What does CN9 stand for? Unless it’s completely made up, CN9 is an abbreviation for the glossopharyngeal nerve;
–noun Anatomy . either of the ninth pair of cranial nerves, consisting of motor fibers that innervate the muscles of the pharynx, the soft palate, and the parotid glands, and of sensory fibers that conduct impulses to the brain from the pharynx, the middle ear, and the posterior third of the tongue.
Does this tell us anything more about the film or confuse us even more? This could be an indication that the Wachowskis are returning to a more mind altering, sensory overload type film. Only time will tell as more information is released.
