Steven McQueen‘s sophomore effort Shame has now been officially slapped with the feared NC-17 MPAA rating, but Fox Searchlight are set to fully embrace it. His Hunger star Michael Fassbender delivers a fantastic, Oscar-worthy performance in the sex addiction drama. One can read our glowing Toronto review here, where we said it delivered “a gut-punch of emotion, sending us down a spiral of chaos, ego and fear.”

We got a UK trailer for the film a few weeks ago, but now a US one has arrived which is pretty much identical outside of the new NC-17 tag and the Fox Searchlight bumper. We also get a brand new clip that runs almost three minutes, showing Fassbender out on a date with Nicole Beharie. It is a crucial moment in the film, the first time his character has done anything outside of simply sex with woman. Check them both out below via Apple for the film also starring Carey Mulligan and James Badge Dale.
