As we await the release of Richard Linklater‘s Boyhood, which has been shooting on and off for the last 12 years, consider Michael Winterbottom‘s next dramaa precursor. For the five years it was in production, the 24 Hour Party People director was shooting the drama Everyday just a few weeks at a time, capturing a man (John Simm) who is incarcerated for drug smuggling, yet trying to maintain a relationship with his wife (Shirley Henderson) and four children.

We’ve now got the U.S. trailer for the film, which had its world premiere on last year’s fall festival circuit. Coming off his disappointing biopic The Look of Love, this next effort looks to be a stirring, strong drama well worth the time and dedication put into it. Set for a release on Friday, November 22nd at IFC Center in New York City as well as on video on demand, iTunes and other digital platforms, check out the trailer below, along with a U.K. poster.
