When Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Ray Winstone, 50 Cent, Alexander Skarsgard, Emmanuelle Chriqui, David Zayas (Dexter), and Sam Riley round out the cast of 13, a crime thriller based around a high-stakes underground Russian roulette game, it shouldn’t take too much convincing to get you to watch the trailer; below [via Yahoo]:
Georgian director Gela Babluani returns to helm this English-language remake of his critically-acclaimed 2006 French/Georgian thriller, 13 Tzameti. Judging by the trailer above, 13 strives to be as tense and minimalist as the original, only this time loaded with ridiculous amounts of star power. A synopsis [via IMDB]:
A naive young man assumes a dead man’s identity and finds himself embroiled in an underground world of power, violence, and chance where men gamble behind closed doors on the lives of other men.

13 premiered last year at the SXSW Festival, was theatrically released around the world (except in America) throughout 2010 and 2011, and finally hits the US in a limited run on October 28th. You’ll be able to pick it up on DVD and Blu-Ray on November 8th.
