It looks like the fourth Ice Age film will not just be an extended Scrat adventure if the previous shorts were any indication. We’ve got the full-length trailer for Ice Age: Continental Drift and it is indeed about what the subtitles hints at. We’ve got the earth literally breaking apart as our group tries to ride out the major change. After their Oscar-nominated Rio, Blue Sky Studios looks to to continue their streak here, as I’m sure this will be another hit among their intended demographic, even though I can barely recount the last two sequels. Featuring voice acting from Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary, Seann William Scott, Josh Peck, Queen Latifah, Jennifer Lopez, Wanda Sykes, Aziz Ansari, Keke Palmer, Drake, Josh Gad, Alan Tudyk, Nick Frost and Joy Behar, one can see the trailer below via Apple.

Synopsis:

Scrat’s nutty pursuit of the cursed acorn, which he’s been after since the dawn of time, has world-changing consequences – a continental cataclysm that triggers the greatest adventure of all for Manny, Diego and Sid. In the wake of these upheavals, Sid reunites with his cantankerous Granny, and the herd encounters a ragtag menagerie of seafaring pirates determined to stop them from returning home.

Ice Age: Continental Drift hits theaters July 13th, 2012.
