One of indie rock’s most acclaimed bands are heading into the spotlight again next month. Three years after releasing High Violet the Brooklyn-based band The National are gearing up for a May bow of their next record, Trouble Will Find Me, but before that they’ve got a special treat for fans.
Revealed earlier this year, Tom Berninger (brother of the band’s frontman Matt) followed around the group during their previous worldwide tour and the result is a documentary titled Mistaken for Strangers. Set to premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival this month, we’ve got the first trailer for the film today, which paints a more personal, inside look at the group than we would have imagined, coming from a unique perspective. Check it out below and return shortly for our review from the festival.
Mistaken For Strangers kicks off the Tribeca Film Festival on April 17th.
